Very close by is the newly reopened Museum of Scottish Industrial Life at Summerlee, and the exciting Time Capsule, both offering a great family day out. 

A Scottish cooked breakfast is freshly prepared in the cottage every morning and there are plenty of areas in the house to relax, including the beautiful conservatory and sitting rooms. There are also washing and ironing facilities available in the laundry room.
