Shawlee Cottage is ideally situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow with excellent access to the motorway network for Central Scotland. Edinburgh City is only about 35-45 minutes, Glasgow 20-30 minutes, Stirling 35 minutes, and Perth about 1hour by car, making Shawlee an excellent base for any short break, touring vacation, or business traveller.

Visitors also have easy access to all of Central Scotland's main attractions, including: Summerlee - Scotland's Museum of Industrial Life; Strathclyde Coutry Park; and M&Ds Theme Park; as well as attractions in nearby Glasgow, Edinburgh & Stirling.

From Edinburgh airport follow M8 motorway (West) exiting after Junction 6. Follow the B799 for Chapelhall - Shawlee Cottage is as you enter the village. Approximate journey time 35 minutes.

From Glasgow Airport follow the M8 motorway (East) past Eurocentral Business Park and take the next exit. Follow the B799 for Chapelhall where you will find the cottage as you enter the village. Approximate journey time is 30 minutes.
