Stonehill Cottage lies within grounds of a family run organic farm, which is designated as a site of special scientific interest due to its excellent and varied birdlife. The cottage enjoys beautiful scenery of the Duneaton valley, with green fields and forests providing excellent walks.
The cottage itself has recently been renovated and offers cosy accommodation for up to six guests. Stonehill is comprised of one double bedroom, one twin, one living room with sofa bed and wood burning stove, bathroom, utility room, large kitchen/dining room and toilet. The cottage's conservatory enjoys views of the beautiful Lanarkshire countryside and is south facing. Just outside is Stonehill's enclosed garden, suitable and safe for children with a patio area and BBQ.

For those who want to explore the countryside, Stonehill is excellently located for hikes in the Southern Uplands as well as watching out for the wide variety of birdlife, which the area around Stonehill is particularly noted for. If you fancy a trip to the city, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dumfries are easy reached for day trips, as is the scenic Ayrshire Coast. There are, however, plenty of excellent tourist attractions nearby including Wanlockhead Lead Mining museum, Drumlanrig Castle, New Lanark Conservation Village and the Falls of Clyde, and Biggar Museums.
