The Watersports Centre at Strathclyde Park will play host to all of the Games sailing events and will be the focal point for the 2011 Games finale. Centrally located, Strathclyde Park is easily accessible from all other Games venues and team accommodations.
The Centre is also the hub of all the land and water based activities within the Park, from watersports such as sailing, windsurfing, water ski-ing, rowing, pedalos and bumper boats to land based activities including cycling and jogging.
With amenities including bicycle hire if you fancy a sedate bike ride, or just a leisurely stroll followed by a coffee or snack overlooking the Loch, the Watersports Centre can meet your needs.
Strathclyde Country Park is one of only a few Olympic standard rowing facilities in the UK and has hosted a number of significant championship events, including the FISA World Championships, the World Masters, and the UK Rowing Championships. The Park is is also the venuue for numerour triathlon events, and will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games Triathlon. Strathclyde Loch is also home to the Great Scottish Swim.
