Christmas Fun in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire
Saturday, December 3, 9-5pm.
The third annual East Kilbride Christmas Market takes place in the East Kilbride Village on Hunter and Montgomery Street.
The area will become a Christmas bazaar of different and unusual gifts, food and drink for the festive period.
Crafts people and specialist producers from across Scotland will be setting up their market stalls on the streets of East Kilbride, and offering local people a chance to do all their festive shopping both at the stalls and in local shops without the need to battle with crowds and those hard to find car parking places.
One feature sure to be a big hit will be Hoots Owls who will be there with their range of (real!) nocturnal creatures, and offering the public a chance to learn more about these lovely birds.
The market is run by volunteers from Scotland’s Festival of History, who also stage Scotland’s largest one-day Christmas Market in Lanark on November 19.
