First - Collective Memories from South Lanarkshire

"Firsts" looks at the history of South Lanarkshire region through audio recordings, found footage, visual interpretations, moving image and photography created by local school children and users of local day care and residential centres.

This exhibition is part of an 18 month programme of work to record and preserve the memories of first experience of our older population.  This has then been researched and creatively interpreted by project participants to create new pieces of work to serve as a time capsule for future generations.  Come along to share in the history of the region told by those who were there.
