Take part in country and outdoor activities including den-making, ranger walks, photography and a visit to the Garden Detectives exhibition.  Make a day of it with a picnic and trips to our Farm Explorer.  Booking essential - call 0300 123 6789 to reserve a place.  Family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children £17.  National Museums Scotland Members free.

Mondays - Den building.  Would you be able to make a shelter if you were stranded in the wild?  Pick up den building skills at the National Museum of Rural Life.  Primary School age.

Tuesdays - Orienteering.  Dont get lost!  Find out how to navigate around the countryside at the National Museum of Rural Life.  - Age 8 - 11

Wednesdays - Photography Sessions - Take digital photographs of the landscapes, plants and animals at the National Museum of Rural Life - make postcard prints of your favourites to take home - Primary School age.

Thursdays - Enviro-art - Take part in an environmentally themed art or craft session at the National Museum of Rural Life - we'll be making different things using natural materials - Primary School age.

Fridays - Ranger Walks - Pick up skills and learn about the countryside on one of our ranger led walks.

Saturdays - Enviro-art - Take part in an environmentally themed art or craft session at the National Museum of Rural Life - we'll be making different things using natural materials - Primary School age.

Sundays - Bug Hunt - See what creepy crawlies, wrigglers and wigglers can be found in the grounds of the National Museum of Rural Life - Primary School age.
