Strathaven Balloon Festival Day Balloon

Take a fun filled trip to Scotland's only air balloon festival.   The balloons will fly each day during the early morning Friday - Sunday (6.30 - 7.00) and early evening (18.30 - 1900). This depends on the weather - wet and windy weather is the balloon pilot's worst enemy!  Unfortunately there will be no balloons flying Friday night or early Saturday morning.  There is a possibility of flights and the night glow on Saturday evening.

There will be lots of entertainment for a familes and children with food and craft stalls, arena events, and stage events, including the amazing 'TAIKO DOJO' drummers on Saturday, and KODA -the young 'swinging' ceilidh group on Sunday making the event a great family day out.

Why not attend the spectacular show on Saturday evening at around 2100 hrs, the balloons will gather for the 'NIGHT GLOW'  - the colourful balloons pulsating in time to music, and lighting up the night sky. A GREAT FAMILY EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED!  Make this event your next family outing.

There is no admission fee to this festival, but tickets will be on sale for an exciting raffle; and a souvenir programme, full of colour photographs and interesting information, will be well worth purchasing as a keepsake.

The annual festival is held in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire making it within easy access of Glasgow and the central belt of Scotland.
