Entries now open for South Lanarkshire Photography competition

Entries are now being welcomed for the annual South Lanarkshire Photography Competition 2010.

Keen photographers are encouraged to send in images of life in South Lanarkshire by Sunday 31 October 2010.

The competition has six categories – for both adult and junior entrants. Last year attracted huge numbers of entries for all categories.

John Hawell is a Senior Countryside Ranger at Calderglen Country Park, who organise the event. He said:
“It’s that time of year again and we are looking for some great images of South Lanarkshire to form our annual photography competition.

“As well as an overall top prize, we will also be taking the best images and showcasing them as part of a special exhibition which will travel throughout the county showcasing all that’s great about South Lanarkshire.

“We’ve always had a great standard of entries in the past and we’re really looking forward to seeing what 2010 brings.”
