Enjoy the slower pace of rural life in Dolphinton, a picturesque  village in rural South Lanarkshire. The village dates back centuries with the local manor once belonging to the elder brother of the first Earl of Dunbar, Dolfine.

For a family day out, a short drive to Biggar will open a world of visitor attractions, as Biggar has more museums per head than any other town in Scotland, two of which include the Greenhill Covenantors Museum and Biggar Gasworks Museum.

Biggar also has its own golf course, and has a boating pond and synthetic tennis courts at Biggar park.
