Cumbernauld House Park is located within the centre of Cumbernauld, 5 minutes drive from the Cumbernauld town centre, library and museum. It is only another 10 minutes drive from Palacerigg Country Park and Cumbernauld Outdoor Activity Centre.

Cumbernauld House Park has a well developed history, with ties to the Romans, Normans,  James IV, Mary Stewart, Cromwell, Covenanters, and the Jacobites.
