Weston Farm in Dunsyre offers horse accommodation and many exciting riding opportunities in 900 acres of rural farmland, whilst remaining within easy driving distance of Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Scottish borders.


Accommodation for Horses in Carnwath, South Lanarkshire

The BHS Horses Welcome approved Weston Farm, South Lanarkshire provides excellent accommodation for horses. The surrounding fields can be divided into paddocks for individuals, pairs or groups of horses with electric fencing as appropriate.

There are also various options of stables available for horses, including three modern partitioned boxes within a newly constructed barn. Straw bedding is provided (shavings can be made available with prior notice and at an extra charge) as well as good quality hay, hard feed and grooming kits.


Riding at Weston Farm, Carnwath

Weston Farm, Carnwath is surrounded by undeveloped rural and unexplored areas giving riders the chance to take in the beautiful views of the South Pentland Hills and the Northern Scottish Borders.

This South Lanarkshire farm is an ideal base for a range of abilities, and provides over 900 acres of farmland for routes taking anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Visitors can take longer half and full day guided rides over the hills to the Covenanters Grave or following the Roman road to West Linton and experience some fantastic riding in the scenic countryside.

The silica sand arena located within the grounds of Weston Farm, Carnwathcan host lessons, schooling and training events. There is also the ‘trail and train’ option, where visitors can book a lesson with a BHS registered trainer.

As well as offering excellent riding opportunities, Weston Farm, South Lanarkshire is in a great location for walkers and birdwatchers. Visitors can explore the remains of a sixteenth century tower house at the eastern edge of the farm, or explore the local area which hosts many exciting points of interest.

Carnwath is only a short drive away from the historic town of Lanark, where visitors can experience the world famous world heritage site of New Lanark, a fascinating 4 star visitor attraction which explores Lanark's mill history.

For those who wish to continue their riding holiday, there are various riding routes in Lanark such as the Falls of Clyde Route and Lanark Beeches.
