Shotts Golf Course

Picturesque Setting

Situated within half an hours drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow with easy access of the M8 motorway, Shotts Golf Club is sited in a most picturesque situation.

The course has an exceptional layout with lush fairways and receptive greens providing a challenging test of golf.

'The Devils Elbow', Lanarkshire

The present layout of Shotts Golf Club was developed in 1936 by James Braid and took until 1949 to complete. It was founded in 1895 and has relocated twice since that time.

Situated approximately 800 feet above sea level Shotts Golf Club offers a stiff challenge for everyone. On a clear day the views stretch from Tinto in Lanarkshire to Loudon hill in Ayrshire.

Visitors should be aware of 'The Devils Elbow', Shotts' notorious 409-yard fourth hole, the most challenging hole on the course.
