Strathclyde Park Bumper Boats Canoeing in Lanarkshire

Lanarkshire has several watersports facilities perfect for a great fun-filled family day out.

Home to the world's biggest rowing event, the World Masters Regatta in 2005 and one of the venues for the 2011 International Childrens Games and 2014 Commonwealth Games, Strathclyde Country Park also offers a wealth of watersports activities that all the family can enjoy.

Over in East Kilbride, James Hamilton Heritage Park is a 4 Star VisitScotland accredited activity centre. The park features a 16acre loch which provides beautiful and tranquil surroundings for an exciting range of water sports, from canoeing to windsurfing. Taster sessions are available so that visitors can get a feel for various watersports. Both junior and adult courses are offered.

Should you prefer something a little more sedate, the Forth and Clyde Canal Society offer relaxing cruises along the rejuvinated Forth and Clyde Canal.
