There are so many sporting attractions in Lanarkshire, and so much variety, that one day simply isn't enough!
So for those of you planning to stay overnight, here's our suggestion for a two-day trip - though of course, either option offers you a brilliant day out in itself.
Day One
You won't want to miss the racing - so why not book a race event for the evening, then arrive in Lanarkshire early in the day? That way, you can enjoy a round of golf on Torrance House Golf Course at Calderglen Country Park in East Kilbride - a public course with 18 challenging holes.
Bringing the family? Take time to pop into the Torrance House Visitor Centre with its excellent gardens and cafeteria. There's also an aquarium, Park Zoo and Ornamental Garden.
A Night at the Races, Lanarkshire
With an extensive race meetings calendar Hamilton Park Racecourse is a great day - or evening - out.
As well as the excitement of the racing itself, the course offers something for everybody, with a family Bistro Restaurant, Dukes Room Restaurant and a wide range of bars.
The course also regularly hosts fashion shows, as well as performances from top UK bands such as Liberty X and Dannii Minogue!
With events ranging from family fun nights to evenings based around the races and a good pint, there'll be something that's right for you.
What's more, if you book in advance there are discounts available.
Day Two
Over indulged at breakfast? The perfect way to work it off is at The Time Capsule in Coatbridge. As well as swimming, there are thrilling water flumes, river rapids, Jacuzzis and an adventure river!
After you've worn yourself out, you can always relax in the health suite afterwards - or if you don't fancy swimming, you could try out your ice-skating skills with a life sized woolly mammoth!
As well as a swim shop and a café, the centre now has the excellent Tiny Tots Play Zone - great if you have younger kids to keep entertained.
Karting in Cambsulang
If the previous night's racing has given you a taste for speed, why not try your hand at Scotkart Indoor Kart Racing?
The track in Cambuslang is one of the best in Europe - promising you plenty of thrills and adrenaline. Tackle hairpin bends, zoom over the unique flyover and scream through the tunnel - all within 400 metres of very demanding track.
There's even a heated trackside buffet area, where spectators can cheer you on as you flash past in Honda powered karts at 40mph!
Please remember, it is best to book in advance.
