UNESCO World Heritage Sites
 

UNESCO World Heritage Sites are the highest accolade of a nation's heritage.

Lanarkshire is home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites with New Lanark situated towards the south of the Clyde Valley National Tourist Route and the Antonine Wall located in North Lanarkshire being awarded this international honour.

In addition to New Lanark and the Antonine Wall, Lanarkshire is also home to the Biggar Museums Trust, Bothwell Castle, David Livingstone Centre and the Motherwell Heritage Centre to name but a few.
