Scots Mining Company House

The north range of the Scots mining company house has been renovated and is ready for holiday lets. The house was designed by William Adam and built in 1735-1740.

The house has a fascinating history as does the surrounding gardens.

Leadhills is home to the oldest lending library in Europe. Explore Leadhills village including the heritage trail. Alternatively visit the neighbouring village of Wanlockhead with the narrow gauge railway and its excellent mining museum.  

Leadhills is equidistant from Glasgow and Edinburgh and only 28miles from lanark and New Lanark.
