Hilton Strathclyde welcomes rebrand

The UK’s fastest growing upscale brand, DoubleTree by Hilton, has announced the opening of a newly refurbished hotel in Lanarkshire.  The Strathclyde hotel, previously part of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio, converted to a DoubleTree by Hilton as part of a renovation programme overseen by Hilton and Westmont Hospitality.

Ideally located in the heart of the Central Belt, situated between the M74 and M8 in Bellshill, the newly branded hotel offers unique, contemporary accommodation throughout its 111 guestrooms. DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde boasts one of the largest Livingwell Health Clubs in Europe, featuring an extensive range of equipment and an indoor pool.

Furthermore, the refurbishment has also seen the arrival of a new onsite Starbucks Coffee shop. The hotel also has six meeting rooms, all of which enjoy natural daylight and are situated on the ground floor. These rooms look over a large garden, making this flexible space ideal for corporate dinners, weddings or special events for up to 250 people.

General manager, Carlo Capaldi said, “We look forward to welcoming guests to our hotel and delighting them with DoubleTree by Hilton's kind and caring service. We are proud to be bringing the first one of this brand to North Lanarkshire and I am certain that the hotel's range of facilities will cater to the needs of business and leisure travellers alike and will provide a new, fresh level of hospitality to this area.”
