Beatson Bauble comes to Lanarkshire
Lanarkshire shopping centre Mackinnon Mills has added a sweet addition to its premises in time for the Christmas rush.
The popular retail outlet has welcomed the arrival of a giant Christmas bauble designed by family favourites Tunnock’s, in support of the Beatson Cancer Charity’s bauble appeal.
The four-foot, specially designed bauble depicts one of Tunnock’s iconic teacakes and will be in place from 28 November to the 6 January at Mackinnon Mills, Coatbridge.
The Tunnock’s bauble is one of seven, unmissable 3-Dbaubles hitting the west of Scotland to help raise vital funds for patients and families affected by cancer.
Mr Boyd Tunnock, said; “Tunnock's is absolutely delighted to have been asked to support the Beatson Bauble campaign. We are sure the Teacake Beatson Bauble will help spread the word about the amazing work the Beatson does.”
Other baubles have been designed by Game of Thrones star Kate Dickie, Line of Duty cop Martin Compston, telly favourite Lorraine Kelly, singer songwriter KT Tunstall and Still Game’s Isa Jane McCarry and can be found in and around Glasgow.
All funds raised from the appeal will help Beatson Cancer Charity provide specialist staff posts including nursing, radiography, physics and research based roles, as well as funding medical equipment and research projects which support the 8000 new patients who attend the Beatson and its related facilities each year.
