    Cuningar Loop
Defy gravity and scale new heights at Scotland’s first outdoor bouldering park. There are options for climbers of all abilities to scale, free from the burden of ropes and harnesses. Hone your climbing skills on numerous different rock formations to tackle, some of which reach over four meters tall, you will have plenty to stick your feet into. Not a fan of heights? Cuningar Loop is home to lots of exciting (ground level) activities, from a child-friendly adventure playpark, to a biking area and extensive network of paths. One of Scotland’s most popular walking routes, The Clyde Walkway passes through Cuningar Loop. Visitors to the park are encouraged to check out the walkway which stretches more than 40 miles between Partick, in Glasgow, and New Lanark. There is even a woodland workout zone where you can get some exercise, before heading along to one of the area’s many picnic areas for a well-deserved mid-morning snack. Those looking for a more relaxing morning, can check out the park’s permanent art display, The Cuningar Stones. The outdoor exhibition is comprised of 15 carved rocks, which are reflect the history of the area.

Even the little ones can get out on the open water, as the park’s funboat dock offers pedalos, and Waterwalkerz, which are designed specifically for children. Tickets for the fun boat dock start from as little as £2. Strathclyde Park is also home to various cafes and restaurants, so you can unwind after a busy day with a spot of lunch while enjoying beautiful view of the loch.

Cuningar Loop is a great new option for us to take the family. What makes it even better is that as it's only a few miles away from our house in Glasgow we can cycle there :) Ashley, Glasgow We always manage a few trips to Strathclyde Park every summer holidays. When the kids were younger we couldn't get them off the bumper boats! Sharon, Wishaw
