Crowwood Golf Club
Crowwood is located between Stepps and Muirhead and is a relatively flat parkland course and despite there being no blind holes it is well protected by no less than 68 bunkers.
The course was designed by James Braid and opened in 1925 on the grounds of the Garnkirk Estate. The Garnkirk Burn winds its way through the middle part of the course, making the sixth and seventh holes testing, depending on which way the wind is blowing.
On a sunny day there are magnificent views of the Campsie Hills, with Ben Lomond in the background.
The clubhouse is located in the former mansionhouse of Garnkirk and is a great location to enjoy the club's hospitality after a game.
