North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre
Within North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre there is a great exhibition area, with a year-round programme of displays highlighting the area's heritage, as well as contemporary art and crafts.
The fifth-floor of the heritage centre is a viewing platform which gives an outstanding view up and down the Clyde Valley, from Tinto Hill in the south, to Ben Lomond in the north.
There is also a small shop selling a range of books on local heritage, cards, traditional toys and sweets. During school holidays the centre lays on a selection of craft activities and events for children.
The Centre is home to North Lanarkshire Archives and has a search room where you can find out about the history of the area or research your own family history.
