Viewpark Gardens

Viewpark Gardens is an attractive place to visit for horticultural enthusiasts and hosts an annual Summer Flower Festival. Children can also enjoy the modern play area. Japanese and Highland plant displays are featured and visitors can view collections of conifers, heathers, Acers and Azaleas. There is also a new topiary collection and additional plant collections including: miniature conifer, hebes and hardy ferns.

The demonstration gardens and the ‘Sustainable Garden’ give visitors ideas and suggestions for plants suitable for the average house and garden. One of the most striking is the 'Black and White' garden.

Other attractions include various water features - channels, ponds and miniature waterfalls that attract several types of wildlife including butterflies, dragonflies and a variety of birds.

For the indoor plant enthusiast there are 4 glasshouses. These offer extensive tropical, subtropical, cacti and also succulent plants. These houses also contain various water features and cold-water fish.

The gardens offer an ideal setting for wedding photographs and you can also purchase bouquets, floral arrangements, troughs and containers.

While in Uddingston, why not visit Bothwell Castle to experience Scotland's oldest and finest 13th century castle operated by Historic Scotland. Uddingston also has a range of cafes and restaurants, including the famous Tunnock's tea room.
