Great Family Activities at Drumpellier Country Park
Drumpellier Country Park is situated within North Lanarkshire, to the West of Coatbridge and the East of Glasgow.
Formerly a private estate, the land was given over as a Public Park in 1919. It was designated as a Country Park in 1984.
Covering 500 acres and two natural lochs Drumpellier Country Park attracts an abundance of wildlife. The lochs attract water birds and the woodlands are rich in bird life, small wild animals and many types of fungi.
A wide range of facilites are available including a 4 star visitor centre, café and children's play areas. Nature trails and boat hire are also available making Drumpellier park a fun day out for all the family.
Take a walk round the Peace Garden or take a look round the Visitor Centre, located at the Coatbridge entrance of the park which is an ideal place to start your visit. There is also a Countryside Rangers Service available for those who are interested in taking part in the varied programme of events during the year.
Admission is free.
