Strathclyde Country Park is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland.
The park hosts lots of different clubs and events from nature walks with countryside rangers to model aircraft flying clubs, so there is something for everyone.
Great Watersport Activites in Strathclyde Country Park
Sailing is just one of a wide variety of water-based activities available at Strathclyde Park.
The park's Watersports Centre can cater for the beginner to professional, with a variety of craft available for hire, although competence certificates must be shown at time of booking.
There is no requirement for certificates to hire the bumper boats, rowing boats, wave bobs, pedalos and Canadian-style canoes. The loch is home to Scotland's Rowing Academy and hosts many national and international rowing regattas.
Waterskiing and other powerboat activities can also be enjoyed.
The park is also home to Sail Laser, operators of the world's premier sailing schools and watersports centres. Sail Laser can offer an extensive range of programmes and courses suitable for all ages and experience, from beginner sailing lessons to RYA certified classes.
Why not combine a training course in sailing, canoeing, windsurfing or water-skiing from the Park's instructers on Strathclyde Loch, with a stay at the nearby Strathclyde Country Park Caravan & Camping site.
Fun-filled family days out at Strathclyde Country Park
The park is also very popular for walking and cycling.
Visitors can also visit M&D's, Scotlands Theme Park and Amazonia which are both based within the park.
